Graffiti Meets Fashion: Alvin "Acoma" Colon Drops Exclusive Collection on Tymelss
Alvin "Acóma" is a Boston-based artist with over 20 years of experience as a painter, sculptor, and airbrush artist. His journey as an artist began at the early age of 11 as he practiced graffiti art. His tenure in professional graffiti art traces back to the 1990s, when he was featured in exhibits hosted at the Massachusetts State House, ICA, Mass College of Art, and more, through his involvement as a founding member of the revolutionary Graffiti crew called the "Young Graffiti Masters" (YGM).
Since his grassroots beginnings, "Acóma" has collaborated with several artists and featured his talent on murals displayed throughout the Boston area including both commercial and residential clientele.
Benjamen Janey explains, "Acoma’s” experiences as a street artist helped him understand how to establish a reputation and a “voice” in his community on a grassroots level. Similarly, Tymelss is a platform that helps champion creators, promotes originality, and sponsors artists on a global level; it takes a dose of effort, and commitment but Tymelss was launched as a well-rounded strategy to establish artist recognition quickly and brings social impact through couture—at scale. There is no better e-commerce platform for creatives to make a social impact and optimize their creativity."
